Barcle.com Partners With Wal-Mart

Mobile shopping tool teams with America's top retailer - proving again how Barcle lets shoppers find the lowest price

STOWE, Vt., Feb. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Barcle.com the upstart mobile online shopping tool launched only ten weeks ago has partnered with Walmart.com proving the Barcle phenomenon is real and gaining momentum daily.

Barcle.com helps shoppers across the country find the lowest price for the exact product they're looking for and makes it easy for them to buy it for less. You do it by using the product's unique barcode and a web-enabled cell phone -- while standing right in the store.

Barcle.com is a no-nonsense pricing search engine that lets you instantly discover who is selling what you want to buy for the lowest price. It's designed to let you search for prices while you're out comparison shopping with your cell phone at mobile.barcle.com or sitting in front of your computer at http://www.barcle.com. It's a free service. You just Barcle it.

Wal-Mart is joining a roster of more than 950 major retailers who have already partnered with Barcle.com. So, when you Barcle it you'll have instant access to over 20-thousand brands and prices for 15-million products. Since Barcle's launch less than three months ago the number of hits on Barcle.com have tripled.

"There are more than 40-million web-enabled cell phones in the United States. And our research shows mobile web users are active shoppers," said Ted Baltuch, the founder of Barcle.com. "Barcle helps anybody who wants to save money -- especially at times when money is tighter."

Barcle.com uses a patent-pending system to match a product's barcode to who is selling it for the lowest price. Barcle has negotiated access to real- time pricing information that is updated daily so you can be confident you're getting the lowest price. Barcle.com is the only service using barcodes this way.

A shopper standing in a store just has to enter the product's 12 digit barcode number into their web-enabled cell phone and Barcle.com will not only tell them who is selling it for the lowest price but let you go directly to that store's website to buy it. You could also just walk across the street to that store. Or you can use the information to Barcle with the store you're in and try to get them to lower their price.

"I started Barcle.com because I wanted to empower consumers -- that's our motto. We're proud to have Wal-Mart as our newest partner because they bring a lot of pricing power to Barcle and that means more choices and cheaper prices for Barcle's users," said Baltuch.

Many product names are similar, and manufacturers often have different versions of the same type of item. How many times have you ordered something online and were frustrated when it turned out to be close but not exactly what you thought you were getting? By using an item's unique barcode Barcle.com cuts through the confusion that can be caused by a product's name and scores a direct hit on exactly what you want. And you find it at the lowest price.

In addition to Wal-Mart, Barcle.com's partners include Bestbuy.com, Target, Kohl's, Buy.com, Kmart.com, eBay.com, Overstock.com, Macy's, TigerDirect.com, Circuit City, Sony, Microsoft, Apple, Panasonic, Drugstore.com, KB Toys, Office Max, Barnes and Noble and many others.
